My name is irisjune, or irivail, or iri-vail or iri_vail or any variation thereof, honestly, as anyone I have lost count of all the accounts I've made over the years.

I've been active in fandom for over a decade now, more or less continuously and with varying levels of intensity.

As someone who's been on the internet for a long time and who honestly has never understood what all that social media stuff is about I've decided it's time to put my money where my over-critical mouth is and try and get my online presence out of the grips of tech billionaires hellbent on making NFTs a thing.

So here I am! I honestly have no idea what to use this website for or how most stuff even works (I learned some HTML in school like, 15 years ago, and remember very little). But I'm excited to fill this space with the things I love.

Currently, that is mainly danmei. After devouring Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation and Scum Villain, I am now dipping my toes even deeper into this genre. I've lost my heart to Jiang Cheng.

A fandom that I've never not been a part of ever since I was 11 is the extended Tolkien canon. I haven't made my way through all the stories of Middle Earth yet, but I have always and will always love this world. I don't think I'll be through with this fan obsession anytime soon.

I love anime and manga. Berserk is one of my favorite stories in the world.

Something else I love that's not really story-related is dolls. I want to finally repaint my first doll this year, maybe that will be a good topic to document on this blog!

On the topic of dolls: I love the Thunderbolt Fantasy anime/puppet theater. It is an astounding show and the puppets warm my heart.
